When it comes to buying a brand-new car one of the first questions we tend to ask ourselves is, "How can I get a good deal?"

We sift through countless friends in the hope one of them happens to be a car dealer or is a friend of a friend who is. We tend to ask lots of questions — although usually not the right ones — and worse still take hearsay advice on finance, market trends and/or buying strategies.
