2011 Kizashi gets upgraded safety and name

The 2011 Suzuki Kizashi has come in for a small but significant safety upgrade, with the addition of a driver knee airbag across the range bringing the complement to seven.

Thanks also to the presence of electronic stability control and seatbelt reminders, the update has seen the Kizashi gain a 5-Star ANCAP crash safety rating across the range.

The Kizashi will also carry new badging for 2011, the XL variant now branded simply as Kizashi, while the XLS will now wear a Kizashi Prestige badge.

The safety upgrade sees the Kizashi's entry price climb by $500, now starting at $28,490. The Kizashi Prestige and Kizashi Sport AWD prices remain unchanged, at $34,990 and $39,990 respectively. All prices exclude on-road costs.

Suzuki's first foray into the medium car segment, the Kizashi is powered by a 2.4 litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 131kW and 230Nm of torque.
